Created as the masthead of the Ferndale Enterprise. The newspaper changed ownership, and changed its focus to the entire Eel River Valley, not just Ferndale.

This is one of my favorite spots in Humboldt County. It’s easily accessible and I enjoy riding my bike there. At the spot where the Mad River empties into the Pacific, birds, seals, humans, fresh water and salt water mix.

These Coastal Redwoods are located in Eureka, California’s Sequoia Park. The land of Sequoia Park was donated to the City of Eureka in 1894 as the last large stand of redwood trees in the city. Although logging did occur within the park, some of the original 40 acres of old-growth forest is still standing in the park gulch areas. (SOLD OUT)
